NEWS & TIPS:
Here are some insurance tips for the spring season:
Home maintenance: With spring comes the opportunity for home maintenance. Take the time to inspect your home for any potential issues, such as roof damage, leaks, or cracks. Addressing these issues early can prevent more significant damage.
Seasonal vehicles: If you own seasonal vehicles like motorcycles, RVs, or boats, it's important to review your insurance coverage for these items. Ensure they are adequately insured for the spring and summer seasons when you're likely to use them more frequently.
Outdoor activities: Spring often brings outdoor activities like gardening, barbecues, and swimming pool usage. Check with your insurance provider to ensure you have liability coverage in case of accidents or injuries that may occur on your property.
Spring storms: Spring can bring severe weather like thunderstorms, high winds, and hailstorms. Review your homeowner's insurance policy to ensure you have adequate coverage for potential storm damage to your property. It's also a good idea to document your belongings and keep records in case you need to file a claim.
ABOUT ME:
I became a State Farm agent in 2009, after joining the company in 2000 and learning the business from the ground up. Now I’m proud to serve the residents of Raleigh and the surrounding areas of Wake County— and I recently opened my second location in Durham near RTP to serve even more customers. We handle homeowners and renters insurance, auto insurance, life insurance and more—including financial services.
I love being the local agent for customers who live inside the beltline and in Downtown Raleigh. I personally have lived in downtown Raleigh in a condominium and later in a house outside so I am very familiar with the condominium buildings in the area as well as the special needs of historic homes. I currently live inside the beltline, so I am also very familiar with the houses surrounding our office. In my office we are known for a very personal, high level of customer service. No one is just a number or a sale to us—we care about our customers, and we have a passion for helping people manage everyday risks, plan for the future, and protect the things that matter most. We listen and learn about your unique needs, and we work with you to come up with a coverage plan that fits you just right. Our customers are like family to us—we form relationships with them that last for years, and we appreciate every one of them.
As for me, I’m from Tennessee originally, and went to college in Florida. I moved to Raleigh when the opportunity came to work with State Farm. My first home purchase was actually a condominium downtown (Glenwood South district) so i am very familiar with the condo buildings in Downtown Raleigh. My husband I bought our first house together outside the border of Historic Okawood and loved living downtown in all the action. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my dog, Teddy, who comes to work with me most days. I also enjoy working out, exploring different restaurants in downtown Raleigh, wine tasting, and spending time with friends when I have the chance. I enjoy working to make a positive impact in the community. I’ve supported the SPCA, Meals on Wheels, Dress for Success, Interfaith Food Shuttle and the Salvation Army—and these days, I’m helping the Frankie Lemmon Foundation and Saving Grace, a local dog rescue. I love the feeling that I’m making a difference. I enjoy meeting new people and helping transplants to NC and the Raleigh area get settled here. We would love to work with you!
